Units are the basic unit of organisation in the party. Each unit consists of a small group of members and observers who meet at least once per month to check in with each other and hold group discussions on current affairs and matters of party work.
There are 2 types of units: cadre units and community units. Cadre units are to be more focused on ideological study, policy advocacy, and the party's national agenda. Community units are to be more focused on community projects and their own autonomous agendas.
There are currently 5 units:
- Jamaica At-Large
- Turtle Island At-Large
- Europe At-Large
Each unit has a leader/coordinator who serves as the first point of contact for anyone involved in the unit. When you register to be an observer - or apply to be a member - of LANDS, you will be placed into a unit and put in touch with its leader/coordinator.
